Wormwood has been used in traditional medicine to treat intestinal parasites like roundworms, pinworms and tapeworms. It is often administered as tea or powder to expel worms from the digestive tract. The herbs bitter properties stimulate intestinal motility and bile production, which may physically flush parasites from the digestive track. Wormwood stimulates the production of digestive enzymes and bile, potentially aiding digestion and reducing bloating.
For optimal anti-parasitic benefits, we recommend combining the Wormwood herb with our Black Walnut tincture as part of a comprehensive anti-parasitic protocol as well as freshly ground cloves.
Wormwood herb can be consumed as infusion (1 gram of dried herb which approximately equals to 1 small teaspoon) steeped in hot water. Consuming Wormwood should not exceed 1-2 weeks at a time, as extended use can prove toxic.
WARNING! Wormwood should not be taken by pregnant or breast-feeding women, as it may potentially lead to miscarriage. It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional before taking Wormwood or any other herbal supplement especially if you have pre-existing health conditions or are currently taking other medication. Not for use in children.
